Is this after you installed the modchip? I know that there are new drives out now that prevent modding (they put some epoxy resin on the chip to prevent anything being added on top of it now), or there is a new drive where the chip is turned under and there is no way to add on a mod chip without breaking the drive - but the site where I got my mod chip (http://www.modsupplier.com/catalog/wii-c-43.html) has chips for all the drives available now; even pre-modded drives where you can swap out the whole thing. Cool!

I would recommend the XV6900. No data package required, and you can flash it to Android from Windows Mobile if you want (cool!). Just make sure you buy a no-contract/used on on ebay, and then call in to activate it (do not go on the web, because the website forces you to select a data package), but on the phone if you tell them this phone is old and was manufactured before a certain date (see my main post), then they will not force the data package. I have had the XV6900 for 2 years and love it. Currently running Android on it, but it runs Windows Mobile 6.1 or 6.5 just fine. Find custom ROMs for the Vogue on the http://www.xda-developers.com forum! :)

I have a Palm Centrol and other than the freezing and it being slow...it is a decent phone. I got it for internet and my home business, but the website I need is too large for using on my phone. I wanted to "downgrade" to a 3G Multimedia Phone but they also require a data package.

Since I have a Centro and no data package, I fine it extremely annoying that I now have to get one even though I won't need the feature. Of course my upgrade is now instead of before this was in full effect, but what can you do.

I checked out all companies and I don't want to switch as Verizon I fell has the best coverage areas, and all companies are requiring this data package.

It's spelled "occurrence." I'm not sure why Firefox didn't tell you it was misspelled; I found this page when I went to look up the word after I also spelled it "occurance" and I'm using Firefox.

It is all a matter of opinion really when it comes down to it. I am able to see lines in an interlaced image. Some people can, and some people cannot with the naked eye...I am unfortunately one of those who cat, and it drives me batty seeing half images interspersed through whole images. I would rather have a progressive image in SD over an interlaced image in HD. Now, with TVs including upscalers and automatic-deinterlacers now, this topics does not apply anymore, but at the time of writing it, de-interlacing was not a standard feature on all HD TVs...that is why I wrote this article originally, and still to this day, interlaces images, many times, give me headaches. Thanks for participating! :)

All I know is that i have a 3 year old Sharp 26"720p flat screen and a 6 month old Toshiba 42"1080i flat screen, and the quality of the 1080i picture is light years better than the 720p. I compared the 1080i picture to other 1080p sets in the store and the 1080i was the best in clarity and depth of color of any set at a comparable price. My 2 cents...
