Hmmm. I could choose to be discouraged, or I could choose to be more vigilate about my routine. It is too early in the game to give up without looking like a total lazy-butt, so I am choosing to be more vigillante. So after swimming two days now, and one non-swimming workout, I have gained a pound! Uggh. I have been eating chicken and salads, and starving for more after every meal, but I am still eating normal to large portions, so I should be getting full. I am not making to mistake of only eating veggies…I am eating chicken, veggies, fruits, etc…but I am still hungry after I eat. And for those of you wondering if it is really “hunger” or just a craving, yes, it is hunger. My stomach hurts the same as it did before I ate, as if I had eaten nothing, and I am still just as hungry as I was before the meal. So, after eating better and working out I gained a pound. Not sure how, but I did. Maybe it takes more than a week for my body to adjust and start losing weight. Maybe since this is the first time I have worked out in over 7 years, my body is still putting on the breaks from be an irresponsible eater. At any rate, I am going to keep at it, no matter what. I really do not have a choice, which is kind of lame.
I can live until age 65 and die happy getting to eat whatever I want along the way, and not having to work at this at all. Or I can kick my butt everyday workingout and eating foods I hate so that I live an extra 10 years, and be tired all the time from working out. But I guess that’s what you are supposed to do to be healthy. Maybe once I get in shape it wont be as painful. I literally come home now from swimming and get straight into bed. I am now in bed from 10pm to 7am, which is ridiculous, since before I worked out I was sleeping from 2am to 7am just fine. I thought working out was supposed to make you feel energized and more alert? Ha, yeah right. I feel like I wanna take a 10hour nap after I work out, and my heartrate is like 180-200 everytime I get out of the pool, even just after a few laps. Man, I’m a fatbutt.
