Please! This has got to stop! The new-wave ultramodern mixed with trailer trash naming of kids has got to stop! I was reading a parenting forum today and they put the names of their kids and ages in their signature (like anyone reading really cares), but the kid’s names were all of 10yrs old or younger, and some of the names were horrid!
One 3yr old girl was named “Mikaylee Shay”, another boy was named “Striker”. I mean, what is this…the trailer-trash WWF meets super heroes?! Round one: Striker vs. Mikaylee!
Some of the parents on the forum were saying “cool name”….”COOL”!? This is a child, not a transformer! STRIKER!
You know who’s doing it? Those single-mothers who had kids out of wedlock, and have angels/goth themses on their myspace, and butterflies/pricess dillusions of how they are still daddy’s little girl (while Daddy is in jail drunk)
Ugg, sorry, I just wish parents would be more cautious with naming their childeren. Like all those hippies in the 1960s that names their daughter Sunshine. Do you realize how many Sunshines have committed suicide?
What has happened to REAL American names???
P.S. – I realize this was kind of a harsh post, but I’m not criticising any specific person, just the whole concept of naming kids haphazardly with names that obviously have no family ties; whos only redeeming quality
